Hooked camper up to our tow vehicle. Went inside to prepare to leave our storage. Husband turned the propane on and I pressed Further start button on the refrigerator once the pilot light ignited. After less than one minute an error message began beeping on the digital LCD pad to alert that there was a disconnect from the power source being used. Five seconds later it stopped, and the LCD went blank. I shouted to my husband to check the propane because the refrigerator had stopped and he confirmed that it was still running. I hit the start button again several times and nothing occurred. As I …
This unit experienced frame flex or frame failure. This frame was constructed by Lippert and has failed causing broken welds, the body to shift and move causing visible stress cracks in the exterior of the body. The interior incident happened in December of 2022 and repairs were attempted in March 2023 only to happen again. This has resulted in the trailer being unsafe to tow and could cause bodily injury to my family and others on the road.
The contact owns a 2021 Keystone Montana. The contact stated while her husband was towing the RV at 60 MPH, a piece of the awning detached from the RV and was being dragged along the roadway. The driver was able to park on the side of the road to fully detach the awning piece completely. The contact took the RV to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the awning to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The VIN was not available.
There was a recall on a wiring harness underneath our slide, The mobile Tech that came out that supposedly fixed it did not did not they sliced open the underbelly and put it back together with duct tape. This is not safe to have and nobody is responding to fix it.
This for a fifth wheel. I had a fire sparked from the 120V connection in my camper. Luckily I was at my campsite and it happened during the day, and I was able to extinguish the fire before it got worse. I paid for the repair and I am still waiting for reimbursement from manufacturer. I also stated to them that I wanted my unit inspected because of the safety concerns. The camper has a recall that has to do with wiring that I was told I need it to take care of myself by contacting a servicing dealer. I have tried reaching out to two dealers with no response.
