The motors on the Dometic 9200 RV Awnings are failing. The motors do not have enough torque to effectively operate the awnings. When campers are caught off guard at campsites it is difficult to secure the awning and prevent it from opening during interstate driving. I've contacted Dometic manufacturing, and they tell me the 3316605-001 motor has been replaced with a 3317084.000U. They do not have any motors in stock and recommended I search for a replacement on-line. I called local supply stores and searched online for motor sources, and they are not available. There is a 6-to-8-week backlog …
The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Rockwood RV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH on the freeway, the RV was driven to a rest stop where it was discovered that the air conditioning unit had dislodged from the roof of the RV. The RV was taken to the local dealer where it was determined that the bolts used to secure the air conditioning unit to the top of the RV had failed. The RV was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 800.

The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph and hauling the attached RV, the driver was alerted that there were flames and smoke coming from the RV. After stopping to inspect the RV it was discovered that flames and smoke were coming from the stove and oven area of the RV. The fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. I WAS INSPECTING MY TRAVEL TRAILER WHEN I NOTICE THAT MY TIRES LOOKED WORN- I LOOKED UP MY BRAND NEW INFORMATION ON MY TIRES AND THE ONLY MATCHING DOT NUMBER WAS THE SPARE TIRE IN WHICH IT WAS THE ONLY NEW TIRE ON THE BRAND NEW ROCKWOOD
I WANTED TO BRING SOMETHING TO YOUR ATTENTION, (I SENT THIS TO THE MANUFACTURER WITH NO RESPONSE) I JUST PURCHASED THE ABOVE CAMPER TRAILER ON OCTOBER 3, 2020, TOOK IT TO GET THE TIRES BALANCED ON OCTOBER 6, 2020, WHEN THE TECH STARTED TO BALANCE THE FIRST TIRE, THE TECH COULD HEAR SOMETHING MOVING INSIDE THE TIRE, SO I ASKED HIM TO TAKE THE TIRE OFF AND SEE WHAT IT WAS.
