Notice (English)
Issue:
On a small number of RV trailers, the wire connections for the SmartPlug 30 A shore power inlet could crack. If this happens, the connections could overheat or detach and cause a short circuit.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit and/or overheated wiring could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Airstream will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the SmartPlug 30 A power inlet. If the power inlet has manganese bronze D-rings, the dealer will replace it with one that has aluminum D-rings.

Sur un petit nombre de caravanes, les connexions de l'entrée d'alimentation de 30 A SmartPlug pourraient se fissurer. Si cela se produisait, les connexions pourraient surchauffer ou se détacher et causer un court-circuit.

Un court-circuit et/ou une surchauffe du câblage pourrait créer un risque d'incendie.
Mesures correctives :
Airstream doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter l'entrée d'alimentation de 30 A SmartPlug. Si l'entrée d'alimentation est équipée d'anneaux en D en bronze manganèse, le concessionnaire la remplacera par une entrée d'alimentation équipée d'anneaux en D en aluminium.
