Notice (English)
Issue:
On certain travel trailers, a defect in the Demco ball coupler could allow it to separate from the hitch ball while being towed. If this happens, the trailer could disconnect from the tow vehicle.
Safety Risk:
A travel trailer that disconnects from the tow vehicle creates the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Airstream will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to add shims on the backside of the ball coupler to increase clamping force on the tow ball.

Problème :
Sur certaines caravanes classiques, une défaillance dans l'attelage à boule Demco pourrait lui permettre de se séparer de la boule lorsque la caravane est remorquée. Par conséquent, la caravane pourrait se détacher du véhicule remorqueur.
Risque pour la sécurité :
Une caravane classique qui se détache du véhicule remorqueur créerait un risque d'accident.
Mesure corrective :
Airstream avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire afin de faire ajouter des cales sur l'arrière de l'attelage à boule, afin d'accroître la force de serrage sur l'attelage à boule.
