Certain motorhomes may have part of the exhaust pipe running too close to a vehicle storage compartment. The exhaust should have a heat shield in this area, as without one, the heat would not be properly dissipated around the exhaust of the vehicle. This would increase the risk of melting and/or a fire, which could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a heat shield to protect the storage compartment.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, une partie du tuyau d'échappement pourrait se trouver trop près d'un compartiment de rangement du véhicule. Le tuyau d'échappement devrait comporter un protecteur thermique à cet endroit, car en l'absence d'un tel protecteur, la chaleur ne se dissipera pas adéquatement à proximité du tuyau. Ce problème augmenterait les risques de fonte et/ou de déclenchement d'un feu, ce qui pourrait entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un protecteur thermique afin de protéger le compartiment de rangement.
